Chessell Pottery lies in the heart of the beautiful, unspoilt West Wight countryside. High Teas - Why not make it an occasion!
Due to customer demand, High Teas are now available throughout the season when booked in advance.

Enjoy a High Tea for Two at Chessell for £15.95.  This includes a selection of triangle-cut sandwiches, award winning home-made fruit scones with strawberry jam and real clotted cream, Island made cake and a pot of Fairtrade tea for two. All served on a pretty, traditional High Tea cake stand on Chessell Ware plates, hand decorated at the pottery with our own strawberry design.

About our Courtyard Café
Home of the ‘Ultimate Island Cream Tea’ served on our Strawberry design pottery totally hand made on site. Real clotted cream from local Calbourne Classics farm, and delicious strawberry jam made just up the road, perfectly complement our freshly baked scones all made with Island flour and butter.

Also serving light lunches, gluten free scones, vegan soup, children’s lunch bags and freshly ground espresso coffee.

Chessell Ware
Our own cream ware pottery which is totally hand made and hand decorated in our studio on the Isle of Wight is known as 'Chessell Ware'.

One of the first items ever launched (2004) under this name was the Island Mug. These contemporary straight edged mugs featuring an illustration of the Island from west to east by local artist Alan Rowe, remain a popular item in our Gift Barn.
